The Yahoo Developer Network presents a talk on Web Performance by Philip Tellis

Bandwidth and latency are the two factors that affect how fast you can get content to your users.  The first step in fighting these battles is finding out what your users experience.  How bad is it, why should we care and how can we make it better?  Let's talk about the first steps in measuring web performance.

The talk will start at 7:00pm on the 27th May at the Covent Garden Wallacespace. There will be light refreshments and drinks after the talk.

Philip Tellis is a geek living in California and working with Yahoo!.  Currently in a dual role with the Performance and Paranoid teams, he looks at ways to measure and improve web performance and security.  When he's not at his computer, he can be found cycling or cooking, but not at the same time.
